SWIFT* Design Hackathon
Innovation jamming among Swiss and HK students
PROJECT BACKGROUND
On 22 July 2019, over 60 students of Design, Engineering and Business backgrounds, from 10 places namely Switzerland, Belgium, India, Honduras, France, Spain, Serbia, Senegal, Italy and Hong Kong gathered at HKDI for SWIFT*, an eight-hour design hackathon dedicated to exploring future scenarios in resolving critical social issues of Hong Kong in areas of healthcare, ageing, youth mental health and the environment.
The objective of this workshop was to open a dialogue among students from business, design and engineering disciplines regarding the possibility of co-creating Smart, Workable, Innovative and Forward-thinking (SWIFT) ideas, products or services in resolving critical issues under different local contexts, such as healthcare, ageing, youth mental health and the environment.
