Snake Queen
PROJECT BACKGROUND
"Sinbad the sailor" is a story about the reign of Harun al- Rashid, the fifth caliph of the Abbasid dynasty. Sinbad is a famous navigator during the Abbasid reign, who travelled across the seven oceans from the West Bank of Shatt al-Arab, Basra located at the intersection of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. He sailed from East Africa to South Asia and encountered various monsters and special natural phenomena. My design is inspired by snakes in reality, using the gold ornaments to express the noble and fierce feeling of snakes. Also, the snakes are continuously winding the outfit to feature the characteristics of snakes.
